Our First Birthing Class
Last night, Sean and I attended our first birthing class. I was pretty excited to finally be going to this class because that just means we're one more day closer to meeting our son! At first the class seemed like high school health class all over again, but then as the evening progressed, so did the detail and instensity of the subject...labor and delivery. We all talked about the complications and discomforts we've been having and we talked about our fears and things we can do to help relieve pain and stress. But then our instructor pulled out the videos. We watched and learned all about what is happening to the women's body and with the baby during labor. Then we watched and learned about delivery. After this class I am officially terrified! But one thing I need to remember is that it will end...labor and delivery does not last forever. There is always an end to it. Then I'll be able to hold my baby boy in my arms...of course after he's cleaned off because I don't know if I really want to touch him when he's all slimmy.

When you are all emotional and tired from labor, his slime won't bother you!! They will lay him on your chest and you'll fall in love ALL over again. My best friend just had her second child last night. Newborns are amazing. Newborn poop is NOT!!! Labor has an end, you can tell me all about it when you experiance it. I wanna know what I'm "missing" out on. Lol!! Less then a month!! Yay for babies!!
Love you!!
Oh that is so awesome!!! I can see why you would be scared...but it is going to be the BEST moment in your life when you get to hold him for the first time!!! And I can't wait to come see him!!! AHHHHHH!
i've got to tell you that it's pretty funny you fell asleep in the bathtub
