School Bound Sean

Well a baby is not the only new and exciting thing happening in the Mattson household.  As of recent, Sean has decided to go back to school.  I know it's something that he's been wanting to do for a while, but since he was still so new at the department, he wanted to wait until he was a little more established before he talked to the Sergent's about a school schedule.  Luckily, these days, there are so many classes offered online and at night that Sean probably won't have too much of an issue with that. Today he met with a counselor at a community college around us and discussed his education plan.  So, he'll be finishing up his General Ed. at the community college and then he'll be able to finish up his Bachelors at Sacramento State (hopefully in the next two years).  Sean already has a lot of classes under his belt, but since he's kind of changing his major around, not all the classes may apply towards his new one.  But that's OK.  I'm just so proud of him for doing this!  He's already so busy as it is, and to take on school on top of his crazy schedule (and home life) is just amazing to me.  I am only taking one class a semester, but Sean is trying to get full loads.  His first semester back will be part time since a lot of the classes are already full, but from here on out I think he'll be fine getting into the ones he needs.  I think this is just so exciting.  I am just so proud of my husband and love him more and more everyday.  He always finds ways to amaze me.

Yeah Sean!!!! That is so exciting! He is going to be so busy! Too bad we don't live closer so we could hang out all the time while our husbands are being so busy in school! :)

Good for him! Working full time and going to school is hard, but doable and totally worth it. I got my Masters online while I was teaching. It was the perfect option because I could go to work and then I got to come home and could do what I needed to there and didn't have to leave for school. And, the great thing is online classes are becoming more popular, so he should be able to take some.

Good for him!! I know how you feel, I was so proud of Tony when he made the decision to go back to school and get an education. He had never planned to .. ever! It goes by pretty quick too, he will be done with his associates degree before we know it. Anyway, Good for Sean!
